NHL February Recap Final Product
Role: Editor, Researcher, On Air-Talent, Content Creator
About the Project
This project is a five-minute video discussing the NHL Monthly Recap for the month of February, which was posted on YouTube for a school assignment. The purpose of this project was to highlight key moments in the NHL while showcasing a variety of my skills including video editing, on-camera and storytelling and using different platforms to reach an audience
Creative Problem
With so many milestones captured in the month of February, my biggest challenge was narrowing down a month worth of stories into a “Top 3”.
Solution
Through the use of research, I was able to narrow down the most important moments, that viewers wouldn't want to miss. To keep the video within assignment guidelines of five minutes, I created a small section towards the end of the video highlighting some other key events in a rapid fire format, providing content without overwhelming the audience. With the use of editing skills, I used transitions, graphics, b-roll and sound-ups to enhance viewers' experience.
Process and Development

Before creating the video, I created a script to help with the flow of the video and to ensure my vision came to life
Application
This video can be viewed on any long video-type platform or mobile device. It is currently posted to YouTube for all viewers to consume and enjoy.
Here is an example of how it would look on an iPad

This was a solo project.
