Live Production
Diary of Sport Media Kid- Trivia Showdown
Role: Assistant Director
About the Project
This is a live, fully unscripted production created for the class: RTA 330 - Advanced Live Sports Production at Toronto Metropolitan University. Our core team is incredibly proud of this show and the hard work that went into making it a reality. From crafting the trivia questions and naming the segments, to building custom graphics and designing the set — every element was thoughtfully created to blend the vibe of a classic sports show with the energy of a comedy game show.

Our main goal, was to create something fun, engaging, and informative — a show that gives future students a glimpse into how awesome the RTA Sport Media program really is.
Creative Problem
Live production involves many moving parts, which can become very stressful, especially when the show is going over or under its time. This was our live shows' main challenge, which led to talent either having to wrap it up quickly or stretching out the content.
Solution
To address this challenge, I worked closely with the producer and director, maintaining clear communication with talent and crew. This coordination allowed us to adapt quickly;y when segments ran over or under their scheduled time. This then allowed us to keep the show on track ensuring an smooth live production
Process and Development

For our live show, we created a detailed and structured showflo that I followed closely to ensure each segment and overall production stayed on schedule. In addition, I developed a master shot list and camera cards for each camera operator to ensure all crew members was aligned with our creative vision
