About the Project
Creative Problem
This project had two components, both a written and video piece. The written article was posted on a blog that discussed the TMU’s women's hockey team and the addition of new rookies. TikTok captures similar information but in a visual format, making it more engaging for a social media audience.
TMU Bold Women's Hockey Team had a variety of stories to showcase, and I found it difficult to narrow my focus on one. It was difficult to decide how to highlight the rookie's impact in a way that was compelling on a visual and written platform.
Solution
By focusing on how new rookies would be able to shape the team, I was able to tailor my approach to each platform. In the article, I focused on an in-depth analysis, providing viewers with quotes from players. My TikTok was more of a summarized and visually appealing video. This project allowed me to blend my interest in women's sports into social media
Process and Development
While writing the article, I brainstormed different ideas, finally coming up with one I was proud of.

Application
The written can be viewed in a blog format, while the video could be viewed on any mobile device app such as YouTube Shorts, TikTok or Instagram Reels.
